The iPad is the perfect combination of art and technology. I create a digital painting in much the same way I do a "traditional" painting, starting with a blank "canvas" and building up layers of brush marks and colour. I then print them (or have them printed) on Arches watercolour paper. The end product is nothing short of spectacular! Limited edition prints available in my shop.
Good things come in small packages. A fun and whimsical take on the world of the west coast. Watercolour & acrylic silver ink on Arches paper, 5"x5" and 8"x8"

This series explored the sensuous curves of the female form. I prefer the smooth surface of paper and work on 90 lb acid free vellum paper, using acrylic gesso, acrylic paint and a thick, water soluble pencil for my mark making. The finished paintings are mounted on 1.5" deep stretched canvas and the edges painted black, gallery style. Most of the painting in this series are 48" x 48".

I love my Canon 7D and I'm also a huge fan of taking shots with my iPhone. It's amazing what you can accomplish with either of these great cameras.
Photography is wonderful hobby for me, so most of the time I just allow myself to photograph whatever takes my fancy. A few of my current favourites are posted here.
* I also enjoy taking pictures for others...portraits, pets, etc. Contact me for information and rates.
