The iPad is the perfect combination of art and technology. I create a digital painting in much the same way I do a "traditional" painting, starting with a blank "canvas" and building up layers of brush marks and colour. I then print them in limited editions on genuine Arches watercolour paper. The end product is nothing short of spectacular!
Good things come in small packages. A fun and whimsical take on the world of the west coast. Original watercolour & acrylic silver ink on Arches paper, 5"x5".

This series explored the sensuous curves of the female form. I prefer the smooth surface of paper rather than canvas. These were painted on 90 lb acid free vellum paper, using acrylic gesso, acrylic paint and a thick, water soluble pencil. The finished paintings were mounted on 1.5" deep stretched canvas and the edges painted black, gallery style. All of the paintings in this series were 48" x 48". These are all sold.

Photography is wonderful hobby for me. I just allow myself to photograph whatever takes my fancy. A few of my favourites are posted here.
